china was alright, it really depends on which part you go cause the country is very extreme one ah...ranging from poor peeps whose family share 1 pair of clothes to, the rich . well i went to 四川, meaning 4 rivers. overall it wasn't too bad, had to sacrifice proper sanitation and foood for the first 4 days cause was at some mountainous region then most of the toilets stink and the food sux. but it was all for a greater cause, the awesome scenery.

ok next are details, for people who have no time, please stop reading. and for people who have nothing better to do(e.g potato), please continue reading since you have nothing better to do :P

Day 1: haha i like going to changi airport, watch air stewardess&pilots pull their luggages and wondering where they're heading to. Caught an early flight to chengdu at 10am, flight time was around 4.5hours, surprisingly fast cause last time it took like 7-8hours to korea or something. reached chengdu at around 3pm, our tour group consisted of 24 peeps ( was mixed with 8days and 10days groups ) so like 4 ppl are leaving on the 8th day, and on the same day another 6 ppl (3 SP lecturers) will be visiting some other place. other than that the first 8days everyone will be going to the same sites. the first day was a super taxing day, 9/10 of the time was travelling. after the flight it was a bus trip up some mountain route & jsut beisde the road was a huge river. then the driver was driving so fast and i was so scared that we'd fall into the river lah.

spent the night at maoxian town. was 1/2 way to our destination, the jiuzhaigou valley. the travelling resulted me in having a very sore butt ):

Day 2: continued travelling up the mountains, roads kept twisting and were very bumpy. you could see misty mountains and between them were villages. the temperature dropped rapidly as we climbed higher and in the end it became freaking cold, think less than 10degrees.stopped to visit some lake that was formed by an earthquake, quite pretty. took pics with a cow that looked like a demon, which later i found out to be a very tasty cow. reached our Tibetan style hotel in the late afternoon, i must say very nicely decorated.
the musical theatre tibetian performancei think she's wearing stilts or something no way shes so tall can.Day 3: wooot this is the highlight of the trip. the jiuzhaigou valley, meaning the valley of the 9 tribes. yes this place has fucking gorgeous landscape and waters. first stop, it was a baby waterfall (forgot its name). oh and the weather it was FREEZING cold, plus drizzling. i wore a T-shirt, a sweater, a jacket and a windbreaker, yes 4 pieces and i still felt damn cold.

moved on to a few lakes, they call lakes Hai Zi, meaning children of seas cause the peeps that lived in the mountains have never seen the ocean so they just imagine their lakes to be oceans. ok i am just gonna spam some pics cause i forgot their names and whatever.

ok next few pics are pics of my personal favourite lake , named Five Coloured Lake. it's like WOW WHEEYOUWHEE OMGWTFBBQ SOMETHING LIKE THAT ACTUALLY EXIST.

after visiting the valley valley beautiful jiuzhaigou valley, went to a tribe village and looked at their houses and etc. then went back to the hotel for a well deserved rest.

Day 4: shit i've already spent 2hours+ blogging this freaking photo blog upload thing is damn user unfriendly. so i shall cut down on the number of photos. day 4 was travelling back to maoxian town, 1/2way back to city. on the way we saw snow capped mountains, apparently it snowed last night while we were fast asleep.

stopped at this gems merchandise store where i found a very horny buddhah painting hee hee. after that dropped by an ancient city gate which is dunno how many thousand years old, it was just like those ancient gates that you see on those chinese ancient dramas.

then it was back to hotel maoxian for a good night's rest.

Day 5: day5 was like day 1, from maoxian to chengdu city. but we went to visit a Qiang tribe fortress on the way back, it was certainly a fortress, like those you play on Heroes III rofl. didn't get to take any good shots there so ya.

this is the super majestic bridge that is still building, well if we could cross, it'd save us like 3 hours or more travel time. yep its the same bridge as the misty bridge pic on day1. nice right?back in chengdu city, had some weird Ma La(numb&spicy) steamboat dinner. then went to watch another performance. it was certainly worth the time. gosu acrobats and entertainers. chinese opera, er hu solo, oil lamp balancing act, some china yo-yo like tricks, juggling tricks, hand shadow puppet, changing face and fire breathing tricks. well the camera went out of batt halfway through the perforamnce lol. but yeah being the very observant me, i saw thru the changing face trick. for ppl out there next time you see a changing face trick, notice that they pull a string around their hip area !

the hand shadow puppet and juggling tricks was most entertaining. and the girl in yellow is easily one of the prettiest girl i've seen. whooooaaa pretty @_@ this duck was conjured by his arms and his bald head!walau my dad took all the pics all cannot see her face sia.

Day 6: visited a panda conservatory(not sure if theres such a word)

i didn't know pandas could climb trees!

later on went to some hakka village that sold weird food and STINKY TOFU. DAMNIT IT STINKS MORE THAN GORILLA POO.suffocated by the stinkbomb(s) , we then sat another 2hours on the bus and head to the dead sea of china. not really a sea but as usual they call their lakes sea. well the ratio of salt to water is every 4kg of water there's 1kg of salt. so basically you just have to lie down in the water and you'll float naturally. then indirectly applying salt on my wounds and it stung like mad.

as usual another performance, one of the worst i've seen in my entire life. other than belly dancers with hot mid drifts & well built guys extinguishing fire with their groin the whole performance was like a low budget choreography.

Day 7: left the dead sea, went to some street shopping place, hahaha i actually forgot to take my bag while shopping only to realise after i boarded the bus, luckily i was quick enough to react then faster ask the driver to stop and went back to retrieve it. kinda a miracle that my bag was still there, considering it's in china.

nightime it was yet another musical, this time i thought it was a decent one. very nice songs and well written lyrics! and hot girls ehehe.

Day 8: for some of the peeps it was time to go back to sg, so we took a group photo, then parted ways.

went to MeiShan, toured some historical sites, then at night it was shopping. funny la we went to this store and buy stuff then the sales girl was very friendly, chatted with us and then even took a pic with my bro and i. too bad i didn't bring my phone out if not she can bluetooth to me ~_~ she actually understood english and could speak a little.

Day 9: first we went to see a buddhah statue that was crafted on a mountain just by a raging river. left me thinking on how they could actually craft it 1000years ago without machines.

then went to E Mei Shan. yep the real emei shan not school of business :0 another very high mountain that took 40mins bus ride up and then cable car to reach the mountain top, where there was a super big 6,660 tons 10headed buddhah statue and 2 temples. the scenery was quite ok but the weather was a lil misty then couldn't see the other mountains that were further away.

what beats a hot spring after a long day of travelling. returned to the hotel then after dinner we rushed to the hot spring! super nice sia the ambience. too bad i didn't bring my camera, i mean who would bring a camera to a hot spring -.-

Day 10: a quick breakfast, footbath then caught an evening flight back to SG. finished Five people you meet in heaven on the 4.5hr flight. its definitely a book worth reading.
